Wayne Marshall and Tami Chin Mitchell, Jamaica’s celebrity power couple, have donated two wheelchairs to a rehabilitation centre. The couple shared the delightful news online in a video that was also shared by Michael McGrane, head of sales and marketing at Toyota Jamaica, as Toyota also had a hand in the act of kindness.
In the video that was posted, Wayne, who was seated in a car with his wife, explained that they partnered with Toyota to give back to the community by donating two wheelchairs to the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre.
The Mona Rehabilitation Centre, first established in 1954 to address poliomyelitis (polio) outbreak, served as a 66-bed hospital. Founded by Sir John Golding, a renowned British orthopaedic surgeon, the institution has evolved to cater to people with congenital illnesses, spinal cord injuries, and severe rehabilitation needs.
